Kraft plus December Challenge 2016

Kraft +
Last challenge of the year,
well, i have a 3 more layouts to do , before i finish my  216  layouts in  one year, but this one is  the online challenge that specifies  what is required, the others are my own creations

Lat  night,  i was thinking of  doing some sewing on   but then, no,  it would take me too much time to   thread the needle first,  and to get the numbers just so,   i had a picture of our house in the kitchen,  first  bare then  when cupboards were  entered, than i noticed , one of the other layouts  had  that , so changed my mind, as i did not want people to think i just copied it ,

I found a picture  of out house, when it was first finished and we  had just moved in  after my husband built it
it took him 15 weeks off work,   long service, to complete, he said he always wanted to build his own home and  he achieved this.

gosh, just thought, i haven't used any patterned paper on my layout, amazing,  so just have used card stock
red,  white and blue  and of course  the  main  craft   card stock as  base

the key tied to  the word  our home  is a part of a prize from Sketchy boards challenge last month, and is from  Dstash supplies

hope you all  have a festive and happy new year to all.

until next year ,

happy new year
from jacqui
now on to  my last 3 layouts .  may see if  i have some unfinished layouts  with no photos on , that i have done in classes, they count also as they are then finished  when photos are added, .

then tidy up    and have a rest , before the new year starts

Sketchy Boards  December Challenge
my layout is  called  -  Love 3 generations (  which are my sister, my mum and my niece )

What a  wonderful year of  Sketches and colour palettes , sketchy boards, it has been   great  doing all of your challenges,

i just love  the blue that  you  picked this month along with gold,  for the last of the year,

blue   cardstock
I have used , Kaiser Cottage Rose specialty papers  today,  and  rubbed  with my finger,
Viva ink gold  kobaltblue cobart blue,  ive had it for about 3 years, a  must have on a bus trip, ,but get it home and 3 years later find it  and its hard, ive heard that you can put hot water  and leave it overnight, but of colours, i now want to use it, so  just rubbed it over the page,
Ive added in parts  some gold wax,, that i purchased from scrap matts in November  plan to use things now as i  purchase them
I was given some doilies from  Toni and had  found a large one  while looking for  something else, isnt it always the way,
I have also  just rubbed over lightly   the same inka   blue on another  cottage rose specialty sheet to give another   lighter shade  of patterned paper
I  have cut some  of my project life  cards to make them square and added  Kaiser gold ink to them  to scatter around the page  as well ,as a gold  glitter flower ,which came off a make and take at a  place to create which  i did not glue down properly, but now  perfectly fits  this page
The bling is from  Kaiser

, thanks Page maps for all wonderful  sketches, i  loved them all

Wishing everyone  on the design team a very merry Christmas and a  happy new year,
until next year,

A2Z Scraplets December Challenge

A2Z Scraplets
my inspiration came form the  checkered board,  i  first thought of a calendar page, but   i added the  colours of the checkered board and soon covered  whole calendar page .( wheres the calendar gone )

I have used
Kaiser card stock

i have used  Kaiser  scraps   fun in the sun papers, and  touch of gold again out of my scrap papers, ( that i was going to donate  to  a lady whos 84 years old and sill makes cards, she said to me any scraps doesn't matter how small it all helps, i  have collected her a  large  box  to  keep her going over Christmas and new year. and will give to her tomorrow

for my chipboard,  which  i declare is not a2z  , maybe next time , these are Kaisers  ladders and  alphabets

i  have  made the fun and 2016 i have rubbed wax on them , then added glossy accents over

the wax tubs can be purchased from Scrapmatts

the of and in are  inked with a black gel pen and then again covered  in glossy accents,
i have added some Kaiser bling to the letter i

these are some of my challenges  that i have done in the past year, ( of course , not all  195 of them, )  im wondering in the  next 6   days i can get another 20 to go to finish the 216 layouts on one year, for the 216 challenge,  im getting tired LOl  but still have to  add  the Christmas decorations  around the house,  as family are coming here for a change.

may not make it , but  know that i have come this close, 195 from 216  layouts is not that bad

will have to ask Santa  can i have a rest soon please

thank you once again for these awesome  challenges,

not sure if next year be able to continue, for  all months of challenges , may have  some rest times as new adventures are arising  starting in February, 2017.  will do what i can, when im home

Looking forward to seeing  what you have installed,  Keep up the good work,

Wishing you all a safe and merry Christmas and a prosperous
new year.
thanks for visiting my blog,

1 2 3 challenge

Thanks   1 2 3  for this amazing  challenge

1  colour    -  Silver
2 word       -  Believe
3 technique  -  layers

at the start of December, i thought, gosh, i dont have  much in line with  silver, and layers  ohh, the word believe, i would think about,  & getting close to Christmas, would i have time for all my challenges, maybe  give it a miss on all,  but thats  not me, i like to  give them all a go,

it wasn't til last night, that i was talking to my hubby and said  , i really like doing  the 1 2 3 challenge, but the paper  is getting me stumped,  he suggested i use aluminium foil ,  something a bit different,  and so  my layout begun. ( he doesn't usually help in  the scrapping area)

At a recent Craft Alive here in Logan,  Sofia from Scrapmatts showed me  this awesome    little tub of  wax,
Im trying to  get stuff that does not take up a lot of room , so when Sofia showed me this wax,   next question  which colour combo to get,   just buy all of them , just use  your finger to apply,  no need for special tools, love that idea,  then i have every colour, would you believe there is silver in it   and gold for my next challenge,  ( that i also have been hanging off to do )  & brass ,which i dont think i will have much use for ,  but you never know hey

so i have coloured the  presents, tree,  the word believe  in this Metallic wax rub on
Also at scrapmatts  some small chipboard that had the word believe.

i thought well, im not  going to do it all  silver, add some colours to the mix,  while sorting for papers,  in my scraps ,( funny what you find in your papers ,what are they doing here  always a  treasure  to find things in my   stash )  i then came across  doilies ,which are in silver and gold,  ( which is another challenge.  yeehaa )

i felt that  it needed something else, so got out my new  Heidi swapp stickers,  ohh yes, its silver, why didnt i think of this before  i started to lay it down to see where it would look nice,  and part of it stuck to the photo, well, i guess you are going here , as i  did not want to  ruin the photo  i think it just finished off the layout,

I have  used  my new Kaiser dies  and created  the  word Christmas  and  the Reindeer and the  Baubles all with the aluminium foil  it took a bit to get them  though  getting the right  depth, so a it would not cut right though or not enough.  a few attempts to get it right, but  hey, im so wrapped  with it ,

no cardstock is used in this layout,
I have used
I have used  a combination of  Scrapmatts and Kaiser  chipboards,
Kaiser  papers  - silent night,
D'Lish  heart silver doilies
Creative die -woodland  scene die
Heidi  Swapp  sticker sheet  Love this (  a prize from  sketchy boards a few months ago)
cheap circle  doily ( another hidden treasure )
 glossy accents on presents, tree

im soo happy with this layout, im wondering if i can find more paper to now do a double  layout to  put the rest of the photos from this event  finished.

Until , next year,  wishing all   you a very Merry Christmas  and a Wonderful   and Exciting New Year,
well,  now i have gold,  i can begin the next challenge, and then  have a few days to put my stash away   and finally see a floor.  before the family arrive for Christmas

thanks for stopping by, see you all next year for  more exciting challenges.  there may be some months where im not available,  but thats life hey.
