scrapbooksuppliesonline. February Challenge 2015

This year,im cuting down from doing 25 challenges a month to about 9 or 10, when time permits,
so tonight,  clearing up my table, i came across  the scrapbookonline supplies sketch,   that i wanted to do,
so i just picked out the first photo,  then found papers to match,

I then punched   with the lucky 8 punch along one side,  then cut it at 9 cm square and layered on top of my Paisley & Petals paper ( planted posies)
I have matted my photo with Kaiser scraps of Tea at Elsie's,
and found some blue satin ribbon in  my bag of ribbons and wrapped it around the photo top

looked at the time and thought, they are  ahead in time from us, so hopefully, i got it  in .

Paper Craft Addicts feb 2015 challenge

This is  my last challenge for the month, Paper Craft addicts, thanks very much for this challenge. for this challenge, they  have a sketch as well as using the word SMILE

After gathering some scraps from my stash, in shades of pink & some greens, I punched the edges of both patterned papers with my lucky 8 border punch.

Adhering them to pink card stock, & matted the photos in pink card stock,
I then added Kaiser string bling around the edges of both photos.

Some chipboard I had lying around served a good  purpose I have painted some pink pearl paint . and then
Added Kaiser Smile Sticker  word, these are new to Kaiser  and i love them,  so using the Smile sticker here at the top of the page

I then got out my flowers and assembled them  around the bottom left hand side of my layout

Artaste Feb. Challenge 2015

Thanks Artaste for this amazing challenge,
this one had me thinking for a bit. maybe leave it , no, that's what i gave myself to do, to do some challenges  out of my comfort zone, so what shall i produce,

Here I have started with chipboard base, and have spread structural  paste over it, while still wet, i have placed a stencil over it and spread over more  paste and let dry.

Then, came the  white gesso over the top, let this dry.

I bought  perfect pearls  for my cards  years ago, but if you are like me, after a while they go into the cupboard, so are not used as often as, but i love the pearly effect it gives this page and now it will be in a place where i can get to it easy to use again,

Now for the fun part, I have dotted the colours, purple, blue, pink,  over the page and with a wet paint brush, brushed it over the page, for a lovely pearly effect on my layout.
I have used, Dew Drop Brilliance Graphite black around the edge of the layout.

My punches are now with in easy reach now as well, with my new cupboard,
Here I  have used Martha Stewart and Fiskers punches.

The tag  is from scrapmatts and the ink i have used is Dew Drop Brilliance  pearlscent lavender. i have only a few of these , but now love the effect it has on chipboards, i will be purchasing more in the near future,  when i find somewhere that stocks them.

scrap with us feb, challenge

i created this layout tonight ,after tea, using some  scraps that i have found
there also is some ribbon and love paper,  that when  went to a workshop wonders classes with the lovely Alison bevis,  in the goodie bag was a bottle of water tied with pink ribbon and paper, what better way to use it than to put it on a layout. We had a sketch to go by and you had to use pink and a bit of red somewhere on your layout, as well as some banners of some sort. some of mine are hand cut, others from a sticker sheet.
i have distressed the papers, to give a olden feel,as the photos are in sepia, and found some old lace in the cupboard. just perfect for this layout. The clock at the top, is from kaszazz rub ons.
The red flower, i received at a random act of kindness, at the time i thought, it would not get used, as i like little dainty flowers  but tonight looked at it and thought of this large  red flower, and it fits

lowood and surrounds crafty angels

today's layout for this site must have words, before, after and now, i found these photos of me,  before when i was heavy, then after when i lost 23 kilos in 7 months, which i kept off for 7 and half years, till i had a fall on the dance floor, which i  loved ballroom dancing. and the doctor told me to give it away for 3 years, well, no dancing for that time and i have put the weight back on, but this year have lost 6 kilos just started a new form of dancing, not so hard on my back.

Close To My Heart February Challenge

Starting this challenge was easy, i knew the photos i was to start them when Im able , Im  redoing my New Zealand Album, so i thought of  photos with flowers, The coach driver took us on an unscheduled stop  to the Sanitarium in Christchurch, The gardens were magnificent    to say the least.

On saying that, hand sewing was the last thing on my mind that i would do on a layout, as its not my strongest point, every time i get out a sewing machine or needle and thread, out comes the family ,with buttons to be sewn on or shirts to be shorted  or hems  to be fixed, so i try and avoid it as much as possible.

So was thinking of twine,  for the stems, when i started   but then got the idea of the sewing, it took me a while to do, but in the end, im please with the outcome.

Here i have used papers from Close to my Heart, which are called My Reflections Chantilly, beautiful papers. Also I have used their white card stock.
I have used the hearts and the flowers from a sticker sheet of Kaiser
The Butterflies are new to Kaiser, they are a sticker sheet. there are 5 kinds which are all lovely, which  may be on my next shopping trip.

Hope you enjoy my layout, as much as I enjoyed creating it .

Sketchy Boards Feb. Challenge

Im on the design team for Sketchy Boards for 6 months, here is my February layout .
Here I have used card stock that has raised  dots & have  sanded it back to show the colour underneath.
i dont have anything fancy to make my circles, but that's fine, as dinner plates work just as well, here ive drawn my circles and moved the plate to make it look more messy. using the colours required for the challenge with tomboy and zig pens, this was so simple this layout just using scraps that i have in my stash
The photos are of my brother with me, my brother with his son and my sister with her hubby & their daughter. Family Photo Shots

1.2.3. February Challenge 2015

Thanks 1.2.3. for this great challenge, love the bright primary colours you have picked,

Red, Blue and Yellow.  Using the word DUO and the Technique is Glitter.
For something different, this year, i would try Items that i dont usually use, like Cogs, (these I received last year in a Random act of Kindness , with a group that i joined last year,  so this year is to use all these items that have been given to me,
So first, I coloured them in the colours specified, and added the glitter to them some i have made 3 high to give them depth.  I have also bought metal cogs from my 2 angels and have painted them & some added glitter to as well.
While drying, i have got out my stencil of cogs, ( another recent buy ) & used a baby wet ones and placed paint on it and smeared the wipes over the white card stock. i have torn the edges of the white and place it on red card stock.
then after all dried, it was just a matter of placing them onto my white page, popping some up on foam, others on and under the photo

White with 1 February Challenge

what a lovely colour to work with, thanks White with one,
As soon as i saw the colour, i knew which photos I was going to use,  but I dont have many orange papers,
A friend put up some papers recently and said that they need new homes, i grabbed the shaped one, as it had orange on one half and pink on the other, which i can use at another layout.  Another friend gave me a Rak ( random act of kindness with the flowers and ribbons,) which  just worked perfectly with my layout.
I added some Kaiser Dream Big papers to the mix and some Kaiser Collectables  to make my layout and a rhinestones on the stems came from another lady,  who sells  beautiful charms.
and the white roses, which are a sticker sheet,  came from a dfbs at ocean shores  in new  south wales, while I  was on holidays recently.
looking forward to marches challenge.
